Bonifay
is centrally located in Holmes County, Florida, between the two large
cities of Pensacola and Tallahassee on Interstate 10. We are also
centrally located between Dothan, Alabama and Panama City Beach, Florida.
Bonifay and the surrounding area is an ideal place if you are looking
to relocate whether it be retirement or to raise a family. We like
to think of Northwest Florida as the "last great frontier of
Florida." The region is absolutely beautiful as it has numerous
large lakes that can be used for either fishing or water skiing. It
also offers numerous rivers, creeks; streams and springs that flow
naturally through breath taking pieces of property that are still
for sale. We offer several small communities but yet the amenities
of the "big" city just a short commute away. For example
in 2004 Holmes County only had about 19,000 people.
The area
also has easy access to numerous junior colleges, universities and
vocational schools. A great feature that Bonifay has is the World's
Most Beautiful Beaches of Panama City Beach is only about a 45 minute
commute. The close proximity to the beaches offers you easy access,
but yet a lot of protection from the storms out of the Gulf of Mexico.
